To protect your castle from pirates, you can build houses for knights. You start with pages, with limited defense.
Go to the menu and click DEFENSE to see the influence each knight has.
Larger knights (like Hoplites and Fighters) shoot from the place where they are marked. This is also the spot where you placed them. In some cases it can be usefull to reposition a knight by killing and replacing it. Killing and replacing is free.
